One night, I dreamt what Hell would look like. I wrote down what I remembered and recreated that image from my mind frightened and intruiged. It was one of the scariest things I've ever imagined, but I was so intruiged that I could imagine something like this. This was the description I wrote down about how I imagined Hell:
You're hanging from a rope in what seems to be an endless basement with a low ceiling, unable to move, talk or even move or blink your eyes. You can only stare. There's a light bulb hanging close to your face, as well as next to every other damned soul in the room. There's a little wooden sign on the floor, listing all your sins. The brightness of each light bulb tells how much of the soul has rotten away. When the light goes out, the soul disappears out of existence.
I recently started an assignment project at school, where I decided to recreate Hell, as I imagined it, in a video. I modeled the next picture in 3DSMax. Keep in mind that it's an early render and that it's not an exact representation of the final video.
I also recorded the audio for that upcoming video. I tried to speak in a depressed and unsettling way. I also added ambience and whispered versions of the sentences. It's in Dutch, so here's the translation:
I know exactly where I am. A place where no one would want to be. I’m in desperate need for air, but I can’t open my mouth. Not that it would make much of a difference if I could, with this noose around my neck. Oh well, at least there’s still a source of light here… in hell.
